Wow... it was awesome. I got home last night and I'm STILL tired. And I slept like a baby last night.
Can't wait to go back next year. I learned so much this year, I can't imagine where I'd be without good people, good vendors, and my amazing wife.
A shout out to the people I ran into! Denise Birdsong, Monina Wright, Lindsey and Nathan Freitas, Jon and Joanne Encarnacion, Mike Steelman, Janet and Lisa from JL Photographia, and so many others!
What a blast!
Why I shouldn't be up at 2:00 AM.

Costanoa Shoot
Holy cow. Weekend is half over but I've been running non-stop. What a great weekend though. I LOVE IT.
Worked in Costanoa with Denise Birdsong yesterday, met some amazing new faces (both behind and in front of the camera), and got some amazing images. But for now, I'm just going to throw this image up because, well, I feel like giving a teaser.
Sunset somewhere on Highway 1 - 02.05.2011.
Plenty more images to come!

Brent's EssTeaEye - Bay Area Automotive Photography
Had a photo shoot with a buddy of mine and his Subie tonight. Personally, I've always loved the Subaru STI, and it's rare when I get to shoot cars. Don't get me wrong... I love people. But there's something about 300+ AWD Horsepower and a car just basically riding along the edge of unreasonably low.
Bling-frickin'-STANCEY-bling.

A mid day stroll... Bay Area AWESOME Photography
So, with the acquisition of the new 70-200 VRII lens, I took a daring stroll around downtown San Jose, getting a few looks that said, "Maybe he's the paparazzi", or "He better not be taking a picture of me" or, even worse, "That gear looks expensive. Maybe I'd like to steal it."
Anyway, I booked it through downtown anyway and got a few shots that never would have come through so crystal clear on my 80-200 AF f/2.8. This new lens is AMAZING wide open.
Wowie-wow-wow this lens is freakin' awesome!
So, here's a few shots I recently grabbed with the new glass.
My beautiful wife. BEE-EEE-AYE-Yootiful. Day in, day out, dressed to go out on the town, or dressed in her PJ's. <3
Here's a shot I really like. I was shooting in full manaul when I heard this plane fly overhead. Quickly snapping a shot I realized I totally over-exposed it. So in post, I brought the exposure down a full -3.00. Sometimes it pays off to not just delete the shot.
"An afternoon lunch walk."
"Leading Lines."
And some other randoms.
Let's see what's behind bell number...
This gentleman is a local. I see him pretty regularly. Definitely going to have to buy him a sandwich next time I see him.
Something a little more out of the ordinary for me, but it's good to expand your horizons once in a while.
