So, my longtime friend... even though we really don't see each other enough - totally my fault... Isaac has become a personal trainer. Over the past 2-3 years I've seen him completely transform his life which is absolutely amazing. He's lost weight, gotten into better shape, and loves his job. What more could you ask for?
As for me? Well, I'm not in such great shape, but I'm please with what my camera showed me after a photo shoot with Isaac at his gym in South San Jose. (www.fitnesssynergetics.com if you're curious). From a friend's perspective, I had a great time, and from a photographer's perspective, it was challenging. Some ups and down. Reflective material on the ceiling - Plus. Lots of objects in on the walls - Negative.
All in all considering what I was working with I'm very pleased about a few of the 200 shots (including test shots) that I took. The fact that I was able to get 10-20 shots that I really liked means my like-to-hate ratio has gone from 1/100 to about 1/10 or so. That's pretty awesome.

Sad, but true...
The winter months leave me shooting in the dark. And all thanks to the City of San Jose's genius planning, every street light in San Jose is SUPER amber. Which is okay if you're just passing through and snapping a few shots, but what about REGULAR COLOR TONES!?!?!? I miss them so much. Eventually, though, It'll be light again until 8pm, and I'll be able to go shoot some daylight stuff after work. I'm very much so excited about that.
Dai and I went out and snapped some photos last night around downtown. Walked down the railroad tracks, to the arena, and then back around. It was a good time. Didn't snap as many photos as I thought I would, but definitely a good time.
Here's a few that, as usual, I don't totally hate.
I also found a photo of Kass's boyfriend. :-D

Another downtown session...
It's great to meet new people. I've always been jazzed by meeting new people. Especially ones that share my interests.
Went out with a bunch of Nikon shooters last Saturday, and took a few photos. Also got to try out the Cactus radio triggers, which I was pleasantly surprised with.
"Hey Jesse - What channel is your flash on?" *BLAM*

Pictures of Orly and my dad's car
So, my dad picked up a new car and desperately needs to sell his "old" one. It's a 2004 BMW 330ci and it's beautiful. But he needs to sell it. I've found, having been in the care industry in the past for many years, that pictures sell the car, so I volunteered some time, and got to spend some time with my dad. Here's the three that I liked the best.
A day earlier I was playing around with Lightroom and wanted to do a little eye-ball edit of Orly, our 1/2 Choc. Lab, 1/2 Chesapeake Bay Retriever. He actually sat still for about 10 seconds, so I snapped a few shots, and then edited these. I'm really happy with the turn out of these two shots.
