Sadaf and Hanny are married! Bay Area Wedding Photography
Well, normally we get a chance to sit down with our clients over coffee or dinner, discuss their wedding, possibly do an engagement shoot with them. But with Sadaf and Hanny, due to time constraints, we didn't have that opportunity. And you know what? It didn't matter. I've never met more sweet, humble, and kind people in my life. The moment that I met Sadaf and Hanny, on their wedding day, I felt like family almost immediately. In fact, they probably didn't even intend on making me feel like that, but they did. And it just has to be said that no one is capable of making you feel as welcome and invited as Sadaf and Hanny. With them, you are instantly trusted and instantly "in".
And then the party began. The day was scheduled so that it wasn't rush-rush, a breath of fresh air in this photographer's opinion. Wedding days are stressful no matter what but the day shouldn't run aground if someone is 36 seconds late. And after all the formal stuff was out of the way, let's just say, the party really got started.
Traditions galore. Henna, dancing, speeches, reading of the Qur'an, giving of gifts, more dancing, a cake cutting, and, of course, more dancing. One of the coolest parts of the evening was the 20 minute dance that some of the girls did, all decked out in traditional attire. SO cool and something that this white boy doesn't get to see very often.
Sadaf and Hanny, thank you so much for allowing us to be a part of your special day, and allowing us to capture all the special moments. We cannot thank you enough. We wish you both the best, but wishes aren't needed by you guys. You are both amazing individuals, and will have a beautiful and happy life together. No doubt about it.
