Puppy pics, my beautiful wife, and a church group BBQ

Fooled around with the 35mm prime again today. Snapped a few of our new puppy and my gorgeous, happy, smiling, beautiful, wonderful best friend... My wife.

The beautiful lady.

Later today, our church community group threw a little BBQ shindig at some of our fellow group members apartment complex. The weather was great, the food was awesome. Here's a shot from the BBQ. Nothing spectacular. Just loving the new 35mm prime. Here's a shot of our good friends.

Pacifica Sesh - 08.29.09

So, the wife was nice enough to offer to stay home today and watch the puppies. Ian met me at my place. We picked up Nathan and Dan and hit the highway towards Pacifica. Met Courtney and Nash up there with their new V-10's. Bryan met up with us later. Generally speaking a fantastic day. No major injuries, albeit there were a few minor spills, but The Crack, Mile and Boyscout will do that to you. Rode, snapped some photos, and after a beastly hot day of riding in 85+ degree weather, we picked up some burritos.

All shot at 1/500 (max sync speed for the D40), on camera SU-800, and off camera SB-600. Some shots were at ISO 1600, and some at ISO 400.

So, this is it...

...This is where it begins. A little journey into photography. Maybe it'll last a day, or maybe it'll become a lifetime hobby... err... obsession.

A little documentation:

Nikon D40
Nikkor AF-S DX 18-55 f/3.5-5.6
Nikkor AF-S DX 55-200 f/4-5.6
Nikkor AF-S DX 35mm f/1.8
Nikon SB-600
Nikon SU-800

...all crammed into a Dakine Mission photopack.

Let's see where this goes...
